Make the most of your time at church on Sunday’s by jumping
into Sunday morning classes at ACC! These ongoing classes provide several
opportunities to study the Bible and learn about Jesus.
Sunday School is available for ALL ages at 9:30 am every Sunday morning September through May.
Childcare is available for children under three when parents attend adult Sunday School Class.
Class Groupings:
Nursery/ Preschool: Grow, Proclaim, Serve! Grow Your Faith by Leaps and Bounds incorporates Bible stories, activities, crafts, media and games into a full faith experience for children. With Grow, Proclaim, Serve! children will develop the skills to unlock the Bible message and grow their faith by leaps and bounds. As children grow in mind and body, they also grow in heart and soul. We are looking forward to introducing your little ones to Sunday School. Come and join us in Classroom 6, right beside the Nursery.
Kindergarten and 1st Graders: YOU are Welcome here! You belong to God and to this Church family! The Feasting on the Word curriculum is going to give us the opportunity to explore God’s Word through stories, crafts and A LOT of hands on activities and games. We can’t wait to get started and we look forward to seeing each of you in Classroom number 2 !!
2nd and 3rd Graders: Come with your curiosity, energy and love of God as we explore the Bible. We will work on special projects and activities while leading each other through the lessons that God has laid out for us. So join us in room 3 as we discover Christ’s community and share what we’ve learned with others.
4th & 5th Graders: We will focus on using the Christian faith to shape the learning experiences of a “tween”. Not quite at the high school level, but beyond the early elementary years, a “tween’s” journey is shaped by many outside influences. The lesson plans from Feasting on the Word help teachers encourage the investigation of what the church teaches, what Jesus teaches, and the implications of their young life choices. We are very excited to begin this new Sunday School year and are looking forward to interacting with your “tween”! Please join us in room 4.
Grades 6-12 meet with Shanon Shreffler and Amy Gage on Sunday mornings in the Youth Room (5). Along with the material that goes along with Pastor Dave’s sermons, we also discuss the importance of God as we grow older. The Feasting on the Word curriculum promises “In response to God’s amazing, unconditional love, youth will be challenged to put their faith into action as they grow to understand themselves as Christ’s disciples.” We hope to see you on Sunday mornings! ~
Adult Sunday School— There are 2 Adult Sunday School classes offered.
The first class is a current events Sunday school class called The Wired Word. The Wired Word connects the latest headlines to relevant scripture, helping us to understand our world in light of God’s Word and Grace. Each week, class participants will receive an email about a topic in the news and then come together to engage in thought-provoking dialogue as a way to find God in our midst.
