Nursery: There is a well-staffed, bright and beautiful nursery available for children during worship.
Sunday School: Available at 9:30 am every Sunday morning September through May. Age-graded Sunday school is offered for children in preschool through high school. Children perform every other month at the beginning of the 10:30 am service and a reminder letter will be sent home with the parents the week before. Angie Schnurstein leads the singing and action songs and Lisa Duffy accompanies the group. Children’s choir meets Sept-May.
Church Camp: Each summer adults and children from Ankeny Christian Church attend camp at our Christian Conference center in Newton Iowa. The week-long event involves games, bible study, creative activities, great food, good worship around the campfire, and the intentional influence of camp counselors. The camp counselors are selected, screened, and trained for this important camp ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both campers and counselors grow in the process.
Ankeny Christian Church will pay half the camp fee. See Pat Sommerfeld for forms. Registration deadline is April 7.
Vacation Bible School: Vacation Bible School is a week long summer fun event! VBS offers the opportunity for children 3 years through 5th grade to explore the scriptures through study, song, crafts and games.
