There are many ways to Volunteer your time both locally and globally:

Support the 2012 Haiti Mission:

The mission trip is planned for March 16-23, 2012. We will work with an organization called Conaspeh that is the National Spiritual Council of Haitian Churches. This organization’s headquarters was devastated in the earthquake of 2010. We will assist Conaspeh in their rebuilding efforts for the country of Haiti. If you are interested in supporting this mission you may make a financial donation to be used to purchase building supplies for the project, or you may purchase school supplies to be donated to the children in Haiti or help make pillowcase dresses and shorts to be donated also. For more info please contact the church office

School supply collection for Haiti Mission Trip

The team going to Haiti in March will be taking 200 school kits for the children inHaiti. We need your help with the collection of 50 boxes of 8 count crayons and pencil sharpeners to add to the school bags to make them complete.

Food Pantry

Food items collected monthly are now delivered to Ankeny Service Center at Nevelyn. Cash collected still goes to DMARC Food Pantry.  With cash they can purchase anywhere from 2-6 times more food with donors’ dollars than what is afforded by retail prices.

Save those barcodes:

Woodhaven “purchases” items to benefit the individuals with developmental disabilities through Campbell’s, Post Cereals, Bic & Pop Secret barcodes.

Woodhaven also participates in the Best Choice UPC barcode program and receives money for the barcodes.   The funds received from Best Choice are used to maintain the wheelchair accessible vans.

There is a labeled basket in our coat closet for you to place collected barcodes.  Thank you.
