Monday Margaritas:

Monday Margaritas is a new women’s fellowship group gathering. We  meet the first Monday of every month at different restaurants in theAnkeny and Des Moines area. This is a time of fellowship and getting to know each other as women of the church. Please know that even though the fun name says Margaritas, the emphasis is not on the margaritas but the social aspect of coming together for fellowship. (Drinking a margarita is an optional choice!)

Our next outing will be Monday, June 4th at 5:00 p.m. at Court Avenue Brewing Company s in Des Moines.

This is for women of all ages. Join us as we get fellowship together!

 May 19th work day for Habitat for Humanity

Ankeny Christian Church and the Ankeny Circle of Faith team would like to present an opportunity to our church members about promoting a volunteer day the third Saturday of the month from May to October. The first saturday will be May 19th at 8:15 am.

Opportunities will include home building, remodeling, repairing or other neighborhood revitalization activities or wherever we are most needed. We are hoping to have 20 volunteers participate.

Kids Club outing to Omaha Zoo Sunday, May 20

  Kids grades K-5th grade please join Karla Rice and Lisa Thurston for a fun day at the OMAHA ZOO!  We will leave from the church at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 20 and return at 7:30 p.m.  Admission cost is $13.50 which will include entrance to IMAX Theater, ride on train, or sky tram.  A picnic lunch will be provided by Karla and Lisa.  Bring extra money if you want refreshments or souvenirs at the zoo.

 One Summer Worship Service

    Come reconnect with all your friends at ACC throughout the summer months when the worship service schedule changes to one service offered at 9:30 a.m. with fellowship to follow.  This will allow all of us to unite in faith and fellowship, to cement bonds and form new friendships.  The 9:30 a.m. worship schedule will be in effect June 3 through Sept. 2.

I-Cubs Outing

Mark your calendars for our ACC I-Cubs outing on Friday, June 8. Norwalk Christian Church will be joining us for this event. We have reserved a block of 50 seats. Tickets cost $6.00. Look for a sign-up sheet in the sanctuary in late April/early May.

June 3 8:30 Youth Mission trip Breakfast fundraiser 

There are 8 youth and 3 adults from ACC participating in a mission trip toMilwaukeeWisconsinthis summer July 1-6th. They will participate in a Youth Works mission trip with approximately 60 other youth from around the US to do inner-city ministry with the residents of Milwaukee.

Breakfast will be served, for a freewill offering, before the 9:30 a.m. church service Sunday, June 3 at 8:30 a.m.  The freewill offering will be used to assist with their registration cost. Thank you for your support.

  • State Fair Hymn Sing: August 9 – 19, we will need volunteers each day to greet people at the door, lead the singing, play the piano, sweep the church about an hour before the hymn sing begins, straighten up afterwards and refill all the hymn book display holders.
